The theme: Television
The aims of the lesson:
1. To enrich pupils’ vocabulary on the theme. To teach pupils use the new words and discuss it. To develop pupils’ habits and skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, to check their understanding. To bring up pupils’ interest in the foreign languages.
Equipment: pictures, posters, slides in active board, recorder, cards.

The Procedure of the lesson
I. Organization moment
a) Greeting
- Stand up!
- Good morning, pupils!
- Good morning, teacher!
- How are you?
- We are fine and you?
- I’m fine, too. Thank you. Sit down.
b) Asking the date, day, attendance
- What date is it today?
- Who is on duty today?
- Is anybody absent?
II. Checking up the hometask.

The 1st group must speak about the kinds of TV channels.
The 2nd – about TV programmes
Write it on the posters.
Your speaker will be reporter.. After finishing your task.

IX. Consolidation of the lesson. Look at the board. This task for all of you. Read the definition and say what it is:
Eg. 1. A short informative film describing and praising some product

X. Counting smiles. Who has more smiles is the winner.
